Error password recovery

Hello,, I am facing an issue with sending emails in password recovery webpart. It does reset password but no emails are sent tousers. I have configured outgoing email settings but I receive genral message as "There was an error sending the email, please check with your administrator".. Can you please help

Do other emails work in SharePoint (SharePoint Alerts etc....)?

Is HTTPS being used?

Are you sure your Outgoing Email SMTP settings are correct in Central Admin - Web Application Settings?

Is relaying configured for your SMTP Server?

You can probably find a more detailed error in the SharePoint log file.
