Web parts access


I might be missing something in the docs....

I have two AD users set up for site administration and a number of FBA users set up for site access. The two AD users see the FBA Pack Web parts without issue in Site Actions > Site Settings. I granted two of the FBA users Administrator permissions, but they do not see the Web Parts. Is this correct?

On one hand, I can see the logic of restricting the FBA Web parts to AD users for security, but I would think if I gave an FBA user administrative rights that he or she should be able to access the same sections.



To view the FBA Pack menu items on the Site Settings page, the user must be a Site Collection Administrator - you can't just add them to the Site Owner group. or assign them specific permissions.
